Dear Valued Partner,
We would like to address concerns surrounding the ever changing landscape that is the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This weekend, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker officially mandated a shelter-in-place order for non-essential businesses. Because we are a medical and food safe manufacturing facility, HQC Incorporated is considered to be an essential business in Illinois and will continue to remain open for business.
As this pandemic progresses, we at HQC Incorporated want to reassure you that our supply chain is in full operation thanks to our current guidelines, practices, and strict standards and we have not seen any interruptions at this point in time.
We are, of course, continuing to do everything we can to ensure the safety and support of our employees, vendor partners and customers. Due to the fact that our business largely supplies both medical and food grade partners, we have always, and will continue to maintain the appropriate safety and sanitation certification measures for our facility.
Some of our normal safety and sanitation precautions include:
- Proper hand washing and/or hand sanitation each time we go in or out of production areas.
- Continued cleanliness of garments worn which strictly remain inside of the manufacturing areas.
- Use of personal protective equipment such as arm sleeves, rubber gloves and hair nets which are mandatory for employees inside of our facility.
Employee safety is at the forefront of our strategy as we navigate this difficult time. In addition to our rigorous facility sanitation regulations, we have limited contact amongst our staff. We have severely limited face-to-face meetings to essential business only, and are encouraging employees who feel sick to stay home.
HQC Incorporated is proud to be ‘ahead of the curve’ thanks to our safety and sanitation procedures already in place. These measures have allowed us to continue to operate without slowing down during this global crisis and furthermore continue to deliver a quality, consumer-safe product.
We will continue to echo the guidelines of the CDC and IDPH, and will update you as needed. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to us with any questions and concerns you may have.
Lastly, we would like to extend our deepest appreciation for your partnership with HQC Incorporated and our hearts go out to all of those who have been impacted by the pandemic during this challenging time.
Wishing you continued health and safety,
Blair Pasternak and Tim Andrus
